Teenager Jamie Hackett has had his suspended sentence activated after pleading guilty to a charge of going equipped to steal.

The 18-year-old, of no fixed address, was previously spared an immediate detention after pleading guilty to sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl. But Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday heard he admitted going equipped to steal after being found with a rucksack while at the Odeon cinema, Festival Park, on January 21.
