I WONDER if you have ever considered a pilgrimage to the Tesco Supermarket at Longton? I was speaking recently to a Christian leader who lives in Cambridge and who has to travel to Anglesey to see his ageing parents. He has always had a soft-spot for the Potteries because of past links from his student days.

He commented that he looks forward to breaking his journey in Stoke-on-Trent and that Longton Tesco has become a place of 'pilgrimage' for him.
