Sounds OK, I suppose. On the other hand is it really realistic to try to prevent the scourge of the overdue library book? Crackdown followed Bristol Police - the uniformed branch of The Wurzels - as they executed a 24- hour operation to make the city the safest in the world, a kind of West Country Utopia where everyone leaves their doors open and gangs of youths carry old ladies shoulder high over the road. Some 500 officers were to be deployed against the drugs trade, anti-social behaviour, and kerb crawlers. Anyone even remotely resembling a litter-lout would be exiled to Taunton for 15 years.
