WERRINGTON: Two men arrested following a drugs raid have been released on bail. A 48-year-old and a 44-year-old were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis after police raided a farm in Werrington. Police executed a warrant at the property in Salters Lane on September 23, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Divisional officers were supported by members of the Staffordshire force's Serious Organised Crime Department. They recovered more than 400 cannabis plants and extensive sophisticated equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis. Further searches were conducted in relation to other drugs and any assets acquired through criminality, under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
