MIDFIELDER Doug Loft says table-topping Port Vale are feeling the benefits of their punishing summer fitness work. The Valiants soared back to the summit of League Two on Tuesday when they crushed Stockport 5-0 at Edgeley Park. That was enough to reclaim pole position from Chesterfield, who lost 2-1 at home to Oxford.
