ASTON Villa are closing in on England winger Stewart Downing after agreeing a Pounds 12m fee with Middlesbrough. The 24-year-old midfielder headed for the Midlands to discuss terms yesterday, amid continuing speculation that Ashley Young could be heading through the exit door.
