TRENTHAM: Firefighters removed the roof of a car to rescue a trapped motorist. Emergency services were called to Longton Road in Trentham after a Citroen Saxo hit a tree leaving the male driver trapped.

The incident took place at about 3.30am yesterday near to the Natwest bank.
