TOILET TALK: Museum visitors will be able to learn more about Victorian ceramics during a special event on Saturday. Gladstone Pottery Museum, Longton, is hosting an event called From Factory to Table, which looks at the skills and methods which went into pottery production and highlights some of the ware used.
Manager Angela Lee said: "A Victorian housekeeper, Mrs Flush, will be talking about toilets and we will have a visit from a butler who will show the kind of ceramics used by a middle-class Victorian family. "A lady factory inspector will also be on site to talk about Victorian working conditions." Gladstone is staging the event, from 11am to 4pm, as part of the British Ceramic Biennial celebrations across Stoke-on-Trent.See the full content of this document
