REGARDING rehabilitation for the long term sick (The Sentinel, October 20), I note Stoke-on-Trent has been named along with nine other areas to take part in the Back to Work Pilot Scheme.

Like most people I have nothing against these new proposals in theory, but fail to see how targeting the likes of Peter Barber, pictured right, and his brother-in-law John Taylor, pictured far right, will do any good. They both seem genuine and it is quite clear they have health problems.
