The Black Lake

Summary

THREE years ago, Lee and Cheryl took over The Black Lake Inn at Meir Heath. This traditional inn offers home cooked food in a relaxed and comfortable setting, making it the ideal place for when you want to enjoy a meal and drinks with friends or family. The cosy interior comprises an open plan lounge and dining area. Comfy leather sofas in the lounge offer the perfect space to relax and unwind, whilst the more formal restaurant area offers space for 60 diners.

Table's of up to 12 can be catered for easily. And when the weather's good, guests can take advantage of the large outdoor seating area. Food is served daily from noon until 9pm, and from noon until 8pm on Sundays. The menu is packed with traditional pub favourites with a twist and main courses start from just Pounds 5.25. Choose a classic such as Steak and Ale Pie, Fish & Chips, Lasagne or a tasty dish such as Spicy Italian Chicken, with a tender chicken breast smothered in tomato and herb sauce served with chips or pasta and salad or a delicious Pork & Apple Melt, with a 10oz port steak smothered with bramley apple sauce and topped with mature cheddar cheese, served with a choice of chips, peas and salad or new potatoes and vegetables. If you're feeling hungry, you could try the 10oz rump steak and half a hot Cajun spiced chicken breast or the famous Blake Lake mixed grill, with a 10oz rump steak, half chicken breast, gammon & sausage, with two free range eggs, onions rungs, mushrooms, chips and peas.
