CROWN green bowling will be screened via the internet next season after a sponsorship deal was agreed with a Shropshire firm. Osprey Water Management Ltd, based in Wem, has agreed a deal for exclusive rights to sponsor internet screening of six major crown green bowls tournaments. The deal is a major boost for the sport in the light of its lack of terrestrial television coverage. Jim Parker, manager of the Waterloo club in Blackpool, said: "This is great news. Many more people now have internet access and this will bring top crown green bowls into their homes."
Bowls websites 21up.co.uk and talkingbowls.com have formed a partnership and will have exclusive rights to screen the events. Tournaments to be screened will be the Waterloo Men's Championship, the Spring Waterloo, the BCGBA All England Championship, the BCGBA Champion of Champions event, the Midland Masters and the Ladies Waterloo.See the full content of this document
