STONE THE CROWS: Pupils have brightened up their school garden by making scarecrows. The infant classes at Hillside Primary School in Baddeley Green took part in the activity as part of National Science Week. Eco-leader and Year five teacher Rukhsana Ilyas said: "The ecocouncil wanted to do something more visual for the garden. We had no budget apart from donations from parents - one of whom gave us Pounds 100.
"The scarecrows are very creative. We've already got our bronze eco-flag and the children are now working towards the silver."See the full content of this document
