It's sad indeed to hear of Jimmy O'Neill's passing. By all accounts, he was a true gentleman and -- although he played for Stoke and the Vale some years before I was to see either in action - I have a tiny memory of this.

This comes from my early schooldays at St Mary's Infants, in Newcastle.
