STAFFORDSHIRE University's new chair of governors says he is looking forward to overseeing the next phase of its development.
Stephen Burgin, who is UK president of engineering giant Alstom, says he will be keeping a close eye on the development of the Pounds 287 million University Quarter project in Stoke-onTrent, a flagship regeneration scheme which aims to transform educational facilities in the region. Mr Burgin, inset, graduated from the university, then Staffordshire Polytechnic, with a BSc honours degree in Electrical Engineering in 1979. He took up his current role at Alstom, which employs around 300 people in Stafford, in January last year.See the full content of this document
