I COULDN'T agree more with the comments of J Johnson ("Steering clear of cameras? Simple. Just don't speed!" Sentinel Letters, January 15). In my view, all vehicles should be fitted with some sort of alarm that sounds when the vehicle is travelling at high speed. That would alert the driver to the fact that he is over the speed limit for that particular road.
There are some heavy goods vehicles that are driven too fast for the road conditions in certain circumstances - sometimes even in the inside lane. They appear to be trying to frighten the car or van driver who is alongside or in front of them. I know they earn their living by delivering their goods as soon as possible, but it is a dangerous practice and there should be something fitted to their vehicle to advise them they are travelling too fast.See the full content of this document
