FORMER Swindon duo Hamdi Razak and Michael Pook are on trial at Crewe.

Striker Razak made an instant impression as a second-half substitute as the Alex ran up a 7-0 scoreline at Newcastle Town yesterday afternoon. Razak, aged 23, netted twice while midfielder Pook, also 23, was given a 45-minute run-out. "He (Razak) scored two good goals and was close to a hat-trick, said Alex boss Gudjon Thordarson. "He seems to be decent player with a good touch. "He has been playing in the lower Leagues in France and then went to Swindon last season where I had good reports on him. I'll have to assess the situation." Razak made three substitute appearances for the Robins last term, including the goalless draw with Crewe back in April, but was later released by Danny Wilson.
