STRIKER Marc Richards is determined to get one over on the manager who handed him his league debut when Vale lock horns with Crewe tomorrow. Crewe's caretaker boss Dario Gradi signed Richards, then 19, on a one-month loan deal in August 2001 from Blackburn. Gradi drafted Richards, now 27, into his squad as cover for Dean Ashton after the former Crewe striker suffered knee ligament damage.
Richards, pictured, had already notched up his first senior appearance in Blackburn's 2-0 League Cup defeat at West Ham in October 2000.See the full content of this document
