WORK to restore Burslem's historic buildings and revitalise the town has taken a step forward with the opening of a new bridal shop. Former airline worker Karen Flynn has launched The Bridal Exchange, which sells once-worn and ex-display wedding and prom dresses.
The shop is based at 1 Queen Street, which has been renovated with help from the Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI), a Pounds 5 million-plus fund being used to restore buildings in the Mother Town's conservation area. The property is listed thanks to its appearance in Arnold Bennett's books, where it is referred to as The Old Steam Works.See the full content of this document
