Joan Day of Longton is a retired nursery nurse. She has an interesting family story that comes with a mystery twist to it. And it all circles around the Great War of 1914-1918.
"My story relates to the Mount Tabor Jubilee Chapel that used to stand in King Street opposite Cole's," Joan begins. "Apparently, the members of the chapel erected a bronze plaque to servicemen in the congregation who were killed in the First World War. My son came across it when he moved into a new house in Sandon Road. I thought I'd try to return it to its owners, but it has been impossible to do this. I'm concerned the names will be forgotten.
