STAFFORDSHIRE PAUL GOODWIN (captain, Knypersley) Goodwin made his debut for Staffs in 1999 and took over the captaincy from Richard Harvey in the close season. The 31-year-old wicketkeeper/batsman, who has taken 15 catches and two stumpings in this year's Knockout Trophy, is also in his second spell as captain of club side Knypersley.

PETER WILSHAW (Longton) Longton captain Wilshaw has been a regular member of the Staffordshire side since making his debut in 2004. The 22-year-old opening batsman, who has also appeared for the Minor Counties representative side, hit 56 in the victory over Suffolk in the trophy group stages.
