Summary

IN HIS latest column,DJ Paul Fairclough, from radio station Signal 2, talks about his battle to lose weight after tipping the scales at 38st 6lb - and his bid for a life-changing gastric bypass operation.

SINCE my last column not a lot has happened and things have slowed down towards surgery. I'm waiting to see the a consultant prior to going back to see the surgeon to see if a date can be set for the operation. In the last couple of months I celebrated my birthday and with those celebrations put on 4lb, which took me to 31st 4lb. However, after re-arranging my diet and increasing my water intake up to five litres a day, I now weigh in at 29st 8lb which is a loss of nearly eight stones. I've been walking in the park daily, going to the gym or even out combining my love of photography with exercise by visiting lots of new places. I'm not one of those people who can just walk for no reason, I think it's my attention span, but find it easier if it's done with something I enjoy.
