UP TO 100 beds a day are still blocked by patients fit enough to leave a hospital that needs to cut 300 beds.
The latest delayed discharge figures come as officials at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire have studied why a sample of 100 patients are commonly staying too long in hospital. It shows 28 of the patients are waiting for assessment, 20 more are victims of hospital delays and eight are waiting for NHS funding before being discharged.See the full content of this document
