NORTON: Plans to build 16 industrial units close to houses have been given the go-ahead. Proposals to erect a group of five buildings of up to two storeys high, 105ft from homes in Champion Way, Norton, were approved by Stoke-onTrent City Council's development control committee yesterday, subject to conditions and an agreement to secure the construction and maintenance of a landscaped embankment by the applicant to act as a screen.
The site, on land to the south of Bellerton Lane, formed part of the former Norton Colliery buildings. A report to the development control committee said: "The proposal is for a group of five buildings providing 16 starter industrial units, spread around the boundaries of the site, creating a footprint of 1,600 square metres.See the full content of this document
