PROSPECTIVE Port Vale investor Mike Newton will discover today whether the club's board have accepted his Pounds 500,000 investment offer.

The board met last night, away from Vale Park, to take a formal vote on the 40-yearold's investment proposals. But after the meeting chairman Bill Bratt told The Sentinel the result would only be made public once Newton had been informed of their verdict.
