NEW LOOK: Primary school pupils have been enjoying using their freshly painted school hall after a group of young offenders decorated it over the summer. The link-up has been so successful Abbey Hulton Primary School and Werrington Young Offenders' Institution could be working together again.

Around 50 inmates were drafted in to give the main school hall and dining room a makeover as part of their painting and decorating training. The school's business manager Mandy Colclough said: "We got the work done for just the cost of the paint. Now we can use the money we saved on meeting the needs of the pupils.
