Summary
'"The concert started with an early overture by Rossini called La Cambial Di Matrimonial or The Marriage Contract, which was played very well by all sections of the orchestra. A fine rendition by the strings of the Greig's Holberg Suite was followed by Dvorak's Czech Suite, which featured lovely playing by cor anglais, horn and strings.
The second half started with a wonderful performance of Mozart's Horn Concerto No.3 played eloquently by Frank Procter. The last piece of the concert was a credible performance of Haydn's Clock Symphony, which was lively, quirky and enjoyable. The 'tick tock' played by the bassoons gave this part of the symphony a real 'beat' as one could imagine a clock ticking away. All in all this was a concert not to be missed and I'm looking forward to hearing the orchestra again later in the year."See the full content of this document
