MIDDLEPORT: A 33-year-old man has appeared before North Staffordshire Magistrates charged with 36 offences involving indecent pictures of children and possessing extreme pornographic images. Gordon Amos, formerly of Middleport who is now of no fixed address, faces 26 matters of making indecent photographs and movies of children on dates spanning 2010 and 2011.

He is also accused of four charges of possessing indecent pictures of children under the Protection of Children Act and possessing nearly 1,700 extreme pornographic images under the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act.
