MADAM, - I was delighted to see the photograph of the street party to celebrate VE Day in Franklyn Street, Hanley (All Our Yesterdays, July 11).
My main interest was Olive McLaughlen. She and her husband Charles and their two daughters, Pat and Pauline, were very good friends of my parents, Alice and Tom Corfield. We lived in Spur Street, and my two sisters, Ann and Christine, can remember Olive very well. We have happy memories.See the full content of this document
