CREWE defensive prospect Matt Tootle is hoping his loyalty to the Alex will be rewarded with a firstteam debut.

Tootle's former youth-team colleagues Ben Marshall and Matt Lunt defected to Stoke City's reserve set-up during the summer when their scholarships ended. But the Widnes-based defender, and striker Alex Titchener, were happy to sign one-year professional terms at Gresty Road.
