Summary
PUNTERS will not get rich backing Brian Meehan's Mehdi at Ripon but he looks simply unopposable in the EBF Children's Day Maiden Stakes. But Mehdi has just been unfortunate in coming up against better horses.
On his debut at Leicester he was third to Roman Soldier, subsequently second in the Coventry and the July Stakes. Mehdi then went to Newmarket were he was second to Richard Hannon's Coup De Ville, who has since followed up in a Conditions race at Newbury. Mehdi's limitations may have been exposed, but he faces nothing of that class here and this is his easiest task to date.See the full content of this document
