HANFORD inflicted the first defeat of the season on reigning Pheonix 15 champions Stone SP.

Luke Cheadle led the way for Stone SP with a fine 54, ably supported by James Dawson (36) as they posted a total of 134-5. Andy Pickerill then struck 64 as Hanford scraped home Porthill Park now have the same points as Stone following their win at Woore, but trail on net run rate. Alex Lockett took 3-21 as Woore were dismissed for 88. Dave Ferris (42no) and Joe Bridgwater (33no) then knocked the runs off without loss in the 11 over.
