TONY Pulis personally thanked the Stoke faithful for guiding matchwinner Dave Kitson towards his coveted first goal for the club during last night's Carling Cup clash at Leyton Orient.

Kitson, the club's record Pounds 5.5m signing, finally ended his goal drought in his 21st appearance for Stoke by netting a 92nd minute cracker to steer his side through to the third round after extra time.
