3D ILLUSION: A pavement artist made people look again when he drew on a shopping centre floor. Max Lowry, an artist based in London, sketched a large drawing of a kitchen sink that appeared to passers-by in The Potteries Shopping Centre, Hanley, to be three- dimensional. Throughout the day, children had the chance to pose in the sink with oversized kitchen props and have their photo taken.
Mum Natalie Mills, aged 28, from Dresden, said: "My son Sam really enjoyed it, he's normally quite shy, but he got involved. "People going by were really interested and were looking at the information boards." Staff from Stoke-on-Trent City Council's children's centres were behind the novel idea which aimed to promote parents' role in the learning process.See the full content of this document
