WITH far too many pubs closing it was a joy to see new owners, Carl and Barbara Nixon, relaunching the White Lion, one of three names incidentally that this traditional rural Dilhorne pub has traded under.

Few these days will remember it by its original name, the Colliers Arms, when it serviced the Foxfield Railway and the nearby Foxfield Colliery.
