Horsfield in Vow to Play Through the Pain Barrier [Edition 2]

Summary

GEOFF Horsfield will play through the pain barrier once again tomorrow as Vale search for their first league win of the season. The 35-year-old striker has suffered a hairline crack to his rib, but has vowed to battle on with the aid of painkillers when Darlington visit Vale Park (3pm). "I've been for an X-ray on my rib and it looks like I've cracked it, but I'm just going to play through that," said Horsfield, who suffered the injury during last weekend's 0-0 draw at Bradford.
