HANLEY: A shoplifter who has been banned from going into any shops in the city centre has had her case adjourned for two weeks.

Debbie Barker, of Leason Street, Stoke, was due to appear before Newcastle magistrates yesterday to be sentenced for shoplifting and committing an offence while on a conditional discharge. The court heard she had missed her hearing as she had a rash covering both her legs and had gone to see her doctor.
