THE Olympic torch is coming to Stoke-on-Trent next year. Good news for all of us struggling to pay our heating bills. The Potteries has been chosen as one of the 66 host cities for the torch ahead of next year's Olympic Games. It's an interesting phrase that - "chosen as one of the 66 host cities".
It suggests good fortune while at the same time basically admitting it's going everywhere. It's a bit like when Readers' Digest say you've been selected to be entered into a prize draw.
