Jubilant campaigners claim last night's council decision to spare Trentham High School from closure is just the first phase of their battle to secure the school's future.

A loud cheer went up from members of the Trentham Action Group (TAG) when deputy elected mayor councillor Mohammed Pervez confirmed that the executive and members' board (EMB) had agreed to save Trentham from closure.
