WHEN Melaney Doyle asked a furniture company to transform a dresser and a bookcase, she was delighted with the results. So pleased, in fact, that the same firm has now given the kitchen of Melaney's threestorey farmhouse in the village of Hixon, near Stafford, a "shabby chic" makeover.
