EVEN Stevens has been hugely impressive on his last couple of visits to Southwell and can continue his form in the Bet totepool On All UK Racing Nursery (12.10), the sole surviving meeting in Britain. The youngster showed little promise on his first three starts in autumn maidens on turf, but a switch to handicap company and the all-weather led to better fortunes at Kempton.
That nose victory came at a lowly level and off a mark of just 50, but it appeared to give the juvenile a new love for the game. He fairly bolted up on his next race at this track and a penalty was not enough to stop him following up a few days later.
