Patients are being cared for at a nursing home as part of a raft of measures to ease the pressure on a hospital's emergency unit.
Severe delays have dogged the University Hospital of North Staffordshire's adult assessment unit (AAU) since it opened in October. Hospital bosses have already apologised for the problems, which meant patients were left waiting on trolleys, and measures have been introduced in a bid to improve the situation.See the full content of this document
