STAFFORD Rangers celebrated their survival by signing the player at the top of their wanted list - midfielder Tom Thorley. Thorley enjoyed a spell on loan to Rangers from Stoke City last season, but manager Chris Brindley feared he would face too much competition when the youngster was released by the Potters.
Thorley, aged 19, was not short of options, but has decided to resume his education in sports studies at Worcester University. He starts his three-year degree course in September, but will happily return home to play for Rangers.See the full content of this document
