Double Hat-Trick Sets Little Stoke On Way

Summary

LITTLE Stoke A's Dan Richardson and Greg Faulkner both claimed hat-tricks in their side's Section E victory over Hanford.

The duo's exploits saw Hanford dismissed for a meagre 41, as they pursued Little Stoke's 168-4, in which Alex Kay made 63 not out. A century from Little Stoke B's Josh Renshaw wasn't enough to force a win against Hem Heath B. Renshaw remained unbeaten on exactly 100, with Matt Thomas adding 50, in the B side's 180-1. But Hem Heath B dug in to finish on 93-4. Tom Edwards also hit an unbeaten 100 in Meir Heath's draw with Hem Heath A. Edwards's ton guided Meir Heath to 175-1, before their opponents hung on to claim a draw as they closed on 107-9. In Section D, Stone's George Hawbrook delivered six of the best in an emphatic nine-wicket success against Eccleshall. Hawbrook picked up 6-12 as Eccleshall were routed for 40, which Stone knocked off with ease.
