Face Facts: Political banter between parties is an understandable if sterile exercise, as P Knowles's letter (The Sentinel, February 17) illustrates; but his attempt to tar Liberal Democrat cabinet members with the same brush that applies to Conservative councillor absentees is insulting and just plain wrong. In contrast to former councillor Myatt, who put in just two appearances at the council after being elected last May, I have attended 278 council meetings during the same period, and the record of my fellow Liberal Democrat cabinet members is very similar. Even Tory supporters should know that it is vital to be accurate in making allegations about others.
