SEVERN Trent Water Authority has applied to Stoke-on-Trent City Council to extend the sewage plant at Strongford. This will be a substantial development at a cost of Pounds 40 million which will be two years in construction and take its prominence from being one of the largest plants in the UK to one of the largest in the world. In the last few years, Pounds 11m has been spent on the site.
