THE North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce has vowed to keep fighting for companies in the region as it faces some of its toughest economic challenges yet. At the organisation's annual general meeting (AGM) last week, members heard of the successes it has achieved over the past year, including helping nearly 300 firms boost their export activity and playing a key role in the formation of the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
But they were also told of the difficulties it has faced, with Government funding drying up and the disappearance of traditional sources of support such as Advantage West Midlands (AWM) and Business Link.See the full content of this document
