It's been a good week for good neighbours and for passers-by. Four villagers from Brown Edge were commended for rescuing 82-year- old Betty Jamieson from a fire-smoked house. A similar award was given to hero postman Mark Casewell, who rescued Phyllis Owen from her burning home in Butt Lane, although sadly she later died.
And villagers Chris Stevenson and Mike Bowden received bravery certificates for rescuing a woman from her burning home in Longnor.See the full content of this document
