STEVE Davis reveals he has learnt valuable lessons from Crewe interim boss Dario Gradi ... and his predecessor, Gudjon Thordarson. The ambitious former Nantwich Town boss, who could be a longterm contender for the Gresty Road manager's job when Gradi stands down, was hired by Thordarson as his assistant last summer.
The former Stoke City boss was axed last October after a poor run of results and criticism of the type of football his side played, but Davis retained his role under Gradi. And the former defender, who served Crewe from 1983 to 1987, says he has been quick to assimilate the different training styles he has experienced under Thordarson and Gradi to improve his coaching knowledge.
