COUNCILLORS are facing renewed calls for their numbers to be cut.

The Government-appointed Transition Board has told the Boundary Commission that Stoke-on-Trent City Council should be cut from 60 to between 36 and 50 members in future - and anything above that number would show a "failure to grasp the need for change".
