WINDOWS and conservatories retailer Strata will enter 2010 after a year in which its fortunes were boosted by the VAT cut.
The group, which employs 72 people across its operations in Etruria and Cobridge, said customers had been encourage to spend as a result of the Government's 2.5 per cent rate cut introduced in December 2008. The business is an example of one of the so-called big ticket retailers which sell products at a high enough price for the saving to be worthwhile. Sales director Rob Dale, pictured above, said: "When you consider that someone can save Pounds 800 on a conservatory, which can be anywhere between Pounds 25,000 and Pounds 40,000, it is a big deal.See the full content of this document
